Dr. Brian Harkins

With over a quarter of a century dedicated to surgical excellence, Dr. Brian Harkins stands out as a seasoned surgeon. His academic journey commenced at LSU Medical School – New Orleans, where he was conferred the Doctor of Medicine degree in 1989, further being honored with the Dean's Award. His educational odyssey continued with a General Surgery Residency at Eisenhower Army Medical Center located in Augusta, Georgia. Here, he was lauded as the Outstanding Laparoscopic Resident – Surgeon. Dr. Harkins' surgical repertoire spans from robotic to laparoscopic and traditional open surgeries. His advanced training in the robotic and laparoscopic domains earmarks him as a luminary in these surgical specialties. An accolade from the American College of Surgeons, Georgia Chapter, for an exceptional scientific presentation is yet another feather in his cap. His post-residency journey was marked by distinction as he was named the Outstanding Graduating Resident and was also the recipient of the Army Commendation Medal for his stellar role as the Chief of the Department of Specialty Care at Noble Army Hospital.
